Until we meet again, Paris

Until we meet again, Paris Image

My last moments in Paris before I embark on this new adventure. There is excitement, sadness and anticipation. Think of an emotion and I have it. It’s hard letting go of something I worked so hard to make happen, but I know I’m letting go in order to embrace something new and exciting. I have no doubt that this next chapter will be just as fulfilling, if not more so.

France has been good for me. I may not be living in Paris any longer but it has changed me, influenced me, and will always have my twenties. On days when I’m homesick for its familiar sites and sounds, I will carry with me all the wonderful memories and trying experiences knowing they’ve molded me into the woman I am today.

I leave grateful and without regrets.

Until we meet again, Paris!

Parting is such sweet sorrow. I wipe a tear every time I board the plane to fly home. I’m told when you leave Paris, you leave a piece of your heart. I know I’ve left a lot of mine over the years and you will too but Darlin’, we’ll always have Paris, won’t we!

Best of luck with this new chapter of your life.

It is a sweet sorrow. But it was really time for me to go. I’ll miss it in ways I don’t even know yet and I’m looking forward to my return! I have so many wonderful people to visit as well so my future will involve France in many ways despite the change of address. Thanks for your well-wishes!

A rollercoaster for your last day in Paris sounds delightful and I am sure a fitting metaphor for your feelings about leaving.
Good luck to you and I eagerly await your first post back in Philadelphia!

A little late here but….. just wanted to say I feel for you having been in the same boat a few years earlier. It’s such a mix of emotions and I think I’m still working them all out. Like you, I plan on returning one day so let’s plan on a RDV when we all end up back there. :) Until then, all the best to you in your new adventures!

It’s good to know you’ll keep writing – will you be in Philadelphia pretty indefinitely, then?

Parting has always been pain. It’s the initial phase that’s bad once you go to a new place you would love that even better-Philadelphia. That’s not really close to Paris in any way though but adventure if is your journey, great start! Don’t miss the rock bands there:)

Adventure, yes. Continued growth, certainly. Philadelphia sure doesn’t have the glam of Paris but I’m not here forever. Life has many twists and turns so who knows where I’ll be next.
